Yeah, I said 'maybe' ... it depends on how people react to the background.
My original idea was to have some ghosts swirling around in the background, but since Daphne was the predominant figure, the ghosts were too distracting. So I took them out and just left the black background with the window and the moon. Let me know what you think, ok?  Comments

I think the dark background really helps to accentuate the warm colors of her clothes and hair; if I were commissioning this from you, I would be more than satisfied!

Glad you like the piece -- Time flies like an arrow, Fruit flies like a banana - Groucho Marx  The background is good, since the focus in on her. The only thing I think it that you should try to make the shadows darker, since it looks she's in a dark place.
Congrats for it  !-- Maybe I'm just passing you by. I keep meaning to add more shadows to my stuff, but frankly I'm a wimp... I don't want to risk messing up the figure once it's done by adding lots of shadows to it, especially on something like this where I did the background just to kind of fill it in a bit. You're right though.. I should experiment with shadows more.
